Statistics Whore

My wife and I are off to sunny Arizona for our first agendaless, relative-free vacation together since our honeymoon nearly seven years ago. I think we both need it. The blog will return on or around the 14th.

Two quick notes:

First, Dooce is back.

Second, I was right. Last week's technical glitch was caused by a move to a new server. Here are some random thoughts inspired by my new Web stats features:

• Each day, at least ten college students are too lazy to actually read "Benito Cereno."
• Do you want to increase your traffic? Become Google's whore.
• Apparently a few of you actually read this blog with some frequency. How intimidating.
• The guy who found Long Pauses by searching for "vietnam porn" probably left disappointed.
